Founded in 1934, Matamata Brass sits firmly within the Matamata Community.
Today we follow in our traditions. We mentor those who want to learn, we encourage development and most of all have fun doing so. Currently, under the baton of Memorie Brooky we enjoy a large range of community engagements from ANZAC services to light concerts, we also dabble in the occasional regional and national competition. Would you like to become a Friend of the Band?
Our Friends of the Band are an important part of our organisation as their financial support helps us to repair and purchase instruments, uniforms and of contribute to the day to day running of our band. Our favourite part is when we are performing and the audience is filled with those familiar smiling faces. We are so grateful for our Friends of the Band and appreciate any support you can give your local community band.
